You provide the ideas and we’ll design a tailor made tour for you using our vehicles, equipment and driver/guides.
We have the vehicle, we have the driver-guide, we have the touring equipment, we have the knowledge and the links with Outback Beds accommodation providers.
Base your ideas on our tours or completely design your own that we will take you on.
We have developed a range of tours that incorporate the main activities and features of the region including:
- A food and wine tour
- An Outback towns, Aboriginal heritage and nature tour
- A river tour following our greatest river systems and including river based activities
- A tour that allows you to take in the grandeur and enormity of our mountain ranges, inland lakes and landscapes by air
- An active tour visiting all the best mountain biking area in the region, and
- An active scuba diving tour off South Australia’s unspoiled coastline.
In addition, we have three activity based adventure tours outside of Australia.
- A Temple, Food and Mountain biking tour in Japan
- A scuba diving tour to South Africa where you dive with the great sardine run, and
- A mountain biking tour over the European Alps from Austria to Italy.
To develop a tailor made tour, contact us via email a with a brief outline of your ideas and we will send you out a questionnaire requesting more information on what you have in mind, the type of touring you like to do, what you would like to get out of your holiday, the number of days you have for your holiday, the level of activity your group prefers, and so on. Together we will develop a tailor made tour. Once we have this we will work out the tour price. You can get an upfront idea of the cost of your tour by looking at the prices of our tours found on our website.
A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER
- The Australian tours are private, so once you’ve booked, you will be the only people on the tour. Departure dates are to suit you (subject to our availability).
- Our tours to Japan, South Africa and Austria/Italy are not private. They are open to anyone but minimum numbers apply and they are set date departures. If you have a group you can book them as a private tour (ask us for a quote) and travel at a time that suits you.
- Our Australian vehicles are mostly 8 seaters which includes a seat for your driver/guide. So the maximum number of people in your party is 7 (although larger vehicles can be sub rented from a third party if you want to travel in a larger group).
- Prices are scaled, the more people you book into a tour the cost per person reduces.
- Most of our tours are on demand departure. Look on our availability calendar.
- Our minimum number of days for any tour, including a tour you tailor make, is five days (4 nights).
- Our general area of operational expertise is outlined the central-southern Outback (roughly the region covered by the route maps seen on the website “Our Tours” page). However, we do venture out of this area if you want to add an out of area destination.
- Our itinerary tours are inclusive of accommodation, transport guide/driver, meals (except the occasional meal in a larger centre as identified in the itinerary), and entrance fees where specified on the itinerary.
- All extra activities are at your cost. These may include scenic flights, alcohol and additional snacks, additional activity entrance fees or hire fees such as canoe hire (unless specified on one of our tour itineraries), optional tour extensions and side trips. We have a small bar on board for purchasing evening drinks if we are not based in a town.
- If you are developing your own tour, it is subject to availability and logistical constraints. We will able to help you work through what is possible with distances, time constraints, seasons and other logistical factors.
